American University of Beirut facts for kids
The American University of Beirut (AUB; Arabic: الجامعة الأميركية في بيروت) is the first American university to be built in Beirut, Lebanon. Its old name was the Syrian Protestant College, and it was built in the year 1866. The name was changed to American University of Beirut on November 18, 1920.
