History

Since its creation om 1871, the Meurthe-et-Moselle department has had few changes:

  • 1871 : creation of the department with four arrondissements: Briey, Lunéville, Toul and Nancy.
  • 1926 : the arrondissement of Toul was eliminated.
  • 1943 : Toul was made again an arrondissement.
