Coffee is a brownish color that is like the color of a ripe but unroasted coffee beans. Different types of coffee beans have different colors when unroasted--the color coffee represents an average. The first time coffee was used as a color name in English was in 1695. The source of the color displayed at right is the ISCC-NBS Color List (see Page C, Coffee, color sample #58).
