Harghita ( Romanian: Judeţul Harghita; Hungarian: Hargita megye) is a county (judeţ) in the central part of Romania, in the eastern part of Transylvania. The capital of Harghita County is Miercurea-Ciuc.
Geography
Harghita County has an area of 6,639 square kilometers.
Two of the most important rivers in Romania, the Mureş River and the Olt River, start in Harghita County.
