Description: Steam freight locomotive Esh 4444 Weight in working order: excluding tender 80.41. including tender 125 t. Design speed 65 kph Maximum power at wheel rim 1300 hp 1200 Class E locomotives were built for the Soviet railways in Germany and Sweden during 1921-24, and were designated EG (700 locomotives) and ESH (500 locomotives). ESH-4444 was built by Nydquist and Holm in 1924. During the war it was part of the special locomotive reserve, and was used on lines near the battle front. This locomotive came to the museum from the VNIIZhT test circle at Shcherbinka in 1997.
