Description: Marble relief of a Mithraic tauroctony scene from the Capitol, Rome, Italie, of the Roman cult figure of Mithras sacrificing a bull - Musée du Louvre-Lens, on exhibit at the Galerie du Temps, secteur Antiquité / Empire romain. Note: the head is a statuary that shows Mithras looking at the bull or towards the viewer are the result of Renaissance-era restorations of monuments that were missing a head; they are incorrect reconstructions.
