Description: The Mk 1 Cortina got a facelift in October 1964, the 2nd update, the Consul name was dropped, now just Cortina, the grille now incorporating squarer parkers and now new flow through ventilation The Lotus Cortina was built in England from 1963-66 (Mk 1 airflow 64-66) Available in 2 door and white with green stripe only, they had front quarter bumpers different seats and dash to the GT, wood grain steering wheel and round Lotus badging. The airflow Lotus went back to standard steel panels (pre airflow had alloy) and leaf springs on rear (Pre airflow coils gave a lot of trouble) Engine; Lotus 115E 105bhp 1588cc alloy twin overhead cam and Lotus Elan close ratio gearbox.
