Description: "Red Shirt" protest at Ratchaprasong intersection. The red shirts organised mass rallies across Thailand to mark the ousting of former Thai prime minister Thaksin by a military coup 4 years ago, and to commemorate the final day of the military crackdown on their protests 4 months ago. This gathering was at Ratchaprasong intersection, an area in downtown Bangkok which was occupied by the red shirts between April 3, 2010, and May 19, 2010, the day that the Thai military violently ended the protests and on which day the protesters set fire to many buildings across Thailand including CentralWorld in Bangkok, the largest shopping mall of Southeast Asia, here to the left of the photo.
