Ace and flight commander Frederick Ernest Luff right of Landis. Two other flight commanders are directly right of Luff, W. Lauer and Joeseph "Child Yank" E. Boudwin. The remaining flight commanders are directly left of Landis, David Lewis (wearing medal), Aubrey F. Diamond (wearing gloves), and Donald Poler.
