Description: Pakistan International Airlines (abbreviated PIA) is the national flag carrier of Pakistan founded in 1946. Airbus A.300Bs, 13 of them operated from 1980 to 2005, has been, have been used largely for the local and medium range network. AP-BCP (c/n 25 series B4-103) was delivered new to Bavaria Germanair as D-AMZ in May 1977 for immediate leasing to Egyptair as SU-AZY. It returned in Germany to Hapag Lloyd in November 1982 as D-AHLZ. During the next years it was also short leased to Kuwait Airways, Capitol Air, Air Jamaica and Condor. In April 1986 it was acquired by PIA Pakistan. This plane was lost on 27.09.92 near Teenpane/Bhatte Dande, Kathmandu, Nepal, when crashed into mountain in bad weather. The slide taken on February 20th, 1992 at FCO. The plane is painted in the new color scheme introduced in 1991, designed by Negus and Negus of London.
