Description: Amphora-psyker from Chalkis, ancient Greek city located in North-East Attica. Up to now samples of Chalkidian amphorae have been found, mainly, in Tarquinia, Cerveteri and Vulci areas, and their number is small. Probably the Chalkidian amphorae were made in Sicily where some colonies of the Greek city of Chalkis were located. This amphora dating from 550-540 BC was found in Cerveteri. It is attributed to the so-called Inscription Painter Chalkidian Black-figured Amphora Approx. half of VI century BC Attributed to The Inscription Painter From Cerveteri , Etruria Rome, Villa Giulia, Museo Nazionale Etrusco
