Description: An Aerial view of Port Huneme, California (USA), 13 December 2020. Port operations at Naval Base Ventura County Port Hueneme provides direct support to Commander, U.S. 3rd Fleet and Naval Sea Systems Command's (NAVSEA) Naval Surface Warfare Center in conducting pre-deployment combat system assessment and training. In addition, NBVC Port Hueneme provides direct support to 12 in-port tenant commands which include NAVSEA, Naval Research Laboratory, Naval Air Systems Command, and Surface Deployment Distribution Command. NBVC Port Operations works closely with its commercial counterparts, Oxnard Harbor District, in the day-to-day vessel movement operations within the Port Hueneme area of responsibility. Visible ships include two Arleigh Burke class destroyers, the left one being USS John Paul Jones (DDG-53) and the Self Defence Test Ship USS Paul F. Foster (DD-964). Note the ship moored in front of John Paul Jones with its superstructure consiting of containers.
