Description: Bentayga Rock, Spanish municipality of Tejeda, Gran Canaria, Canary islands. This is at the foot and on the east side of Bentayga Rock itself; looking east, with Roque Nublo in the background. Long considered a cultual place, this may simply be two houses built subsequently, with the second house reusing the western half of the floor of the first (smaller and higher) house. The so-called "almogarén" in the middle is on the same design and approximate dimensions of inside fireplaces in dwellings of that time, notably at the Painted Cave site in Galdar.
