Description: Part of a marble rectangular altar (eschara) with inscription ESTIAS ISTHMIAS, 5th – 4th century BC. The altar was dedicated to the goddess Hestia, who was given the epithet Isthmia, implying that an isthmus (a narrow piece of land) existend between island Despotiko (Moschos) and the islet Tsimintiri, located of the east of Despotiko. Archaeological Museum of Paros.
