Description: Former blast furnace #2 belonging to the disappeared Altos Hornos del Mediterráneo S.A. (Mediterranean Blast Furnaces), located in Port of Sagunto, Valencian Community, Spain. The company Altos Hornos del Mediterráneo S.A (AHM), based on the Altos Hornos de Vizcaya S.A., was created in 1971 to serve the ferrous metallurgy in Sagunto. This blast furnace, the only one remaining of the 3 that were operating, is 64 m high and was first built in 1922 and remodelated in the 70's. It operated only 13 years long and after its restoration, today is open to public visits.
