Description: Arnold Wilkins was originally hired as a helper at Watson Watt's radio lab at the National Physical Laboratory. Several years later he produced simple calculations that demonstrated the basic concepts of radar, and later a lash-up apparatus to demonstrate them in action. Although not as well known as Robert Watt, Wilkins was just as much a father of British radar.
