Description: Beryl (Var.: Emerald) Locality: Coscuez Mine (Cosquez Mine), Muzo, Vasquez-Yacopí Mining District, Boyacá Department, Colombia (Locality at mindat.org) Size: 9.9 x 7.9 x 7.2 cm. This is a superb GEM EMERALD still embedded in matrix, in the pocket in which it formed. The emerald has fine bright grassy green color and is highly gemmy and transparent! It measures one cm both across the termination and in height. You can see some little pyrites around it on the calcite matrix.
