Brooches from a hoard of at least seven silver brooches of Irish Viking type. The two largest were found in 1785 and 1830. The others, found in 1990, show severe damage from poughing. One is inscribed with the Viking runic alphabet, or futhark, perhaps to bring good luck to the wearer. MME 1904,11-2,3; 1991,1-9,1-10" See BM database entry and BM database entry for more details.
