Description: From Jim: “Here this fruit is called Sapote Colorado but I think it's the same as what I know from Guatemala as Caimito Amarillo, Latin name Pouteria caimito. The fruit tastes like a slightly dry but sweet yam or sweet potato.” However, based on pictures on the internet I think this is a yellow sapote / canistel (Pouteria campechiana).
