Description: All that remains of Saint Lawrence's Hospital, Caterham on the Hill, Surrey, England. Opened in 1870 as Caterham Asylum (page at AIM25). The greater part of the site has now been redeveloped for housing. This building, now called Oaklands House is offices for NHS Direct in Kent, Surrey and Sussex [1]. The Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust operates a number of small units on the site for people with learning disabilities [2].
