Description: Projectional radiograph of at the level of the heart of a 12 year old female with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, before and after radiocontrast infusion. There is a fibrin sheath forming a socket around the central venous catheter (used for chemotherapy), resulting in a collection of radiocontrast around the catheter. The fibrin sheath caused an inability to check for correct placement of the catheter by aspiration.
