Description: AWM caption: Korea. October 1951. In the UN Forces October offensive, Australian troops were prominent among the Commonwealth Division troops who spearheaded the UN advance. Chinese casualties were heavy, and these three prisoners of war (POWs), walking between two unidentified Australian soldiers, were wise enough to surrender. They are leaving the front line and making their way to the rear echelon area. The Australian soldiers are from the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR).
