Description: The title page of a 1649 pamphlet claimed to be by the 17th-century hangman Richard Brandon, The Confession of Richard Brandon. Written as a deathbed confession to the regicide of Charles I in 1649. Known to be a forgery. During his life Brandon denied being the executioner of Charles I and the true executioner of Charles I is unknown.
