Image: Curragh Camp Fire Brigade (6382078517)
Description: Shiny and gleaming (new?) horse-drawn fire tender at the Curragh Camp, Co. Kildare. The men have FB, presumably for Fire Brigade, on their uniform collars and as an emblem on their gorgeously ornate helmets, and absolutely love the special belt holders for their fire axes. Thanks to Gerry Ward for help with the make of the fire engine! It's Shand, Mason & Co., London. Date: Circa 1902 NLI Ref.: EAS_2467
