Description: Site of Dobytown, a ghost town in Kearney County, Nebraska. The historical marker in the picture is on the north side of Nebraska Highway 50A, two miles east of Nebraska Highway 10, and about a mile south of the Platte River. No buildings remain at the site, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. (The building visible on the horizon just to the right of the marker is the Archway Monument, a modern structure.)
