Description: Dovercourt lighthouses. Erected by Trinity House in 1863 using cast iron, they were used until 1917, guiding ships around Landguard Point with their powerful gas lamps. When a ship saw the two lights aligned, it was on the right course. The deep-water channel is now marked by buoys.[1] Sometimes known as Dovercourt Range Lights.[2] Port of Felixstowe cranes can be seen in the distance.
