Description: This photograph was taken by me at the Basadi (also spelt Basti, another name for a Jain temple) complex in Halebidu, Hassan district, Karnataka state, India.It is located close to the famous Hoysaleshwara temple. All the three Basadi in the complex are dated to the 12th century and were built by the kings of the Hoysala empire.
