Description: Plot of half-hourly electricity generation at Manapouri with the tide height at Deep Cove (tailrace outlet) over June 1999, showing peak generation aligning with low tide (and vice-versa) as these times cycle around the day, thus not following the normal 24-hour cycle of electricity usage. Generation below 560MW is ignored, and the tide height has 562 added to ease comparison.
