Description: Electronics World, September 1959, Volume 62 Number 3. Ziff-Davis Publishing Company. Publisher: Oliver Read, Editor: Wm. A. Stocklin, Technical Editor: Milton S Snitzer. This 8.5 by 11.25 inch (21.6 by 28.6 cm) magazine had 160 pages and over 120 advertisers. The net paid circulation (Jan-June 1959) was 244,660. Many Ziff-Davis magazines would have two 6 issue volumes a year. Volume 61 was January to June 1959, volume 62 was July to December 1959. Cover Story: Compact Two-Tube Stereo Amplifier. J. Augeri and D. Crhistansen, CBS Electronics. Radio News was founded by Hugo Gernsback in 1919 and acquired by Ziff-Davis in 1938. The name was changed to Radio & Television News in August 1948, to Radio & TV News in May 1957 and to Electronics World in May 1959. It was merged into Popular Electronics in January 1972.
