Description: End-fire subwoofer array, shown with six subwoofers arranged in three rows. The audio signal going to each row is delayed a few milliseconds relative to the row behind it. This subwoofer array can be used to lessen bass energy on stage, to keep low frequency "mud" out of concert microphones. The subwoofers can be tucked further under the stage, or extended further out toward the audience, as is practical for each installation. The physical space required for this method is one of its greatest limitations.
