Description: The Garnet Star (Erakis/Herschel's Garnet Star/μ Cephei) is a star in Cepheus constellation. It's a red supergiant star of spectral type M2Ia. The star is very old, it has begun to fuse helium into carbon, whereas a healthy main sequence star fuses hydrogen into helium. At the ending of its life, it's to go supernova, while probably can leave a dense and big black hole.
