Description: Der Ernst-August-Platz in Hannover um 1900. Neben dem Hauptbahnhof ist links das von 1878 bis 1881 nach Plänen von Kind und Böttger gebaute Kaiserliche Post- und Telegraphenamt zu sehen. Das Gebäude mit der markanten Kuppel wurde 1943 bei den Luftangriffen auf Hannover zerstört und 1950/51 durch einen Neubau ersetzt. Dieser wurde 2006 für das Einkaufszentrum Ernst-August-Galerie abgerissen.
