Description: Coat of arms of the Department of Santa Cruz (Bolivia) and of the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra: – Coat of arms granted by the King of Spain Philip IV to the city of San Lorenzo Real de la Frontera, today called Santa Cruz de la Sierra, by Royal Cell of November 7, 1636. – It is also the coat of arms of the Department of Santa Cruz by Resolution No. 1, of January 11, 1985, of the IV Congress of Provincial Civic Committees of Cruceñidad and by Prefectural Decree No. 11/85, of April 23, 1985, of the Prefect of the Department.
