Description: Two Eurostars at Waterloo International. Eurostar trains used this station from 1994 to 2007. Because the trains ran on existing lines when running out of Waterloo International (the South Western Main Line, Brighton Main Line, Chatham Main Line, South Eastern Main Line and Redhill to Tonbridge line), they had a narrower cross-section to fit the narrower British loading gauge and also had shoegear to pick up power from a third rail electrified at 750V DC. When services transferred from Waterloo to St Pancras in 2007, the shoegear was removed and operating speeds increased. Willkm 00:50, 4 December 2005 (UTC)
