Description: A U.S. Navy Vought F-8E Crusader of Fighter Squadron 51 (VF-51) "Screaming Eagles" launches from the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga (CVA-14) off the coast of California (USA), on 30 July 1965. VF-51 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 5 (CVW-5) aboard the Ticonderoga and working up for a combat deployment to Vietnam.
