Description: Fishguard railway station photo-survey (1) Looking towards the terminal end of the single-platform railway station at Fishguard ferry port. Fishguard railway station is the terminus of a single track branch from Clarbeston Road Junction [1] on the West Wales line. The station is managed by Stena, the ferry operator, and the train service is operated by Arriva Trains Wales. The station and adjacent deep water berths at Fishguard were built by the Great Western Railway as a terminal for the Atlantic passenger trade. Today, the port serves only ferries to Ireland and the station, reduced to a shadow of its former glory, is served by two passenger trains each day to meet the ferry sailings.
