Description: Original Desciption: Outside the Great Gate at Hampton Court Palace. These sculptures represent the the heraldic devices of various monarchs of England and date from only 1953 (the current Queen's coronation year) although the Palace itself is 16th century. The above description was the uploader's original description on Flickr. This is incorrect, this is one of the King's Beasts statues located outside Hampton court and not of the Queen's Beasts statues made for the coronation of Elizabeth II in 1953 which can be found in Canada. Stone replicas of the Queen's Beasts can be found in Kew Gardens, London.
