Description: Foxhill is a house on the Whiteknights Campus of Reading University. It was originally built by the eminent Victorian architect, Alfred Waterhouse, for his own use. There is more about it here. From 1919-1943 it was the residence of Hugo Hirst (Baron Hirst of Witton), head of the General Electric Company from 1910-1943. Before that it belonged to Rufus Isaacs (1st Marquess of Reading), Lord Chief Justice of England from 1913-1921.
