They appear to have U.S. rifles, uniforms and equipment. The landing craft is a U.S. Navy LCVP. Note barbed wire beach obstructions in the foreground. The original Kodachrome transparency was received by the Naval Photographic Science Laboratory in March 1944. Official U.S. Navy Photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives.
