Description: "Global Garden Shovel" (2010), a large-scale public sculpture commissioned by Sound Transit is installed in the city of Seattle at the Columia City stop along the new transit line running from University of Washington to SEATAC Airport. The shovel is 35 feet tall, and the blade measures 7 1/2 ft. by 8 ft. by 6 inches and is constructed from bronze castings of and hand-made replications of indigenous plants and trees from the tropics and northern climates. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Fuller_(artist)
