Description: Engraving of the mural "Les époux se doivent mutuellement fidélité secours assistance" located in the Salle des Mariages de la Mairie du 13e arrondissement, Paris. The mural was painted in 1878 by Gustave Boulanger. This engraving was made by William Haussoullier. Two copies of the engraving are conserved at the Musée Carnavalet in Paris (the source of this image). Figures who can be recognized in the painting include Mademoiselle Nathalie, Boulanger's wife (the most prominent female figure in group to left); the painters Ernest Meissonier, Alexandre Cabanel, and Jean-Léon Gérôome; Alexandre Dumas, fils; Charles Garnier; and to extreme right, a self-portrait of Boulanger.
