Description: Harry Vardon, the golfing great from Jersey who won six Open Championships between 1896 and 1914. Vardon also won the 1900 U.S. Open, and popularized the Vardon Grip, used by most golfers today. The Vardon Trophy is named for him. The original caption read "Mr. Vardon swinging golf club."
