Description: Lot-6048-5: U.S. Navy helicopter is shown landing on the forward 16-inch gun turret of USS Missouri (BB-63) during the 1948 “Midshipmen’s Practice Cruise, Guard Mail, ship’s newspapers and personnel were exchanged via helicopter while the cruise squadron was at sea.
