Description: Title: HOLLOW, HORN BEAR Abstract/medium: 1 negative : glass ; 8 x 10 in. or smaller Hollow Horn Bear (1850 – 1913) was a Brulé Lakota leader, who fought in a number of battles, including that at Little Big Horn. He later testified before the US Supreme Court in the case of Ex parte Crow Dog, rode in the inaugural parades of presidents Roosevelt and Wilson, and was featured on the five dollar bank note and a 1922 US postage stamp.
