Description: Plateau Orchomenus (a karst depression in 625 m, polje), on all sides surrounded by mountains. On its borders are the villages Vlacherna, Hotoussa, Limni, Kandila, Arcadia. Relatively frequent geological phenomenon in the karst basins of the northeast Peloponnese, Greece. The plateau has no natural surface water outlet. Precipitation must be drained by ditches. When precipitation of winters is exceptionally rich, some agricultural fields may be wet. Depending on the capacity of the draining ditches, the artificial tunnel to Panagitsa,_Arcadia and two geologically old ponors, temporary lakes may result even nowadays.
