Description: THIS IS THE LAST OF CALIFORNIA’S 21 MISSIONS AND WAS FOUNDED IN 1823 BY A FATHER ALTIMIRA. AFTER 1881 THE CHURCH SOLD THE BUILDINGS WHICH WERE THEN USED IN VARIOUS CAPACITIES UNTIL THE STATE ACQUIRED IT IN 1906.
