Description: Jekyll family headstones and memorial in the churchyard at St John the Baptist's church, Busbridge, Surrey, UK. Commemorates Gertrude Jekyll (1843-1932), Agnes Jekyll (1861-1937) and Herbert Jekyll (1846-1932). Designed by Edwin Lutyens (1869-1944). Behind the gravestones is an inscription on the memorial, which is now almost illegible (see Historic England record): "In remembrance of Herbert and Gertrude Jekyll long time dwellers in their homes in Munstead who passed to their rest in the Autumn of 1932. / Their joy was in the work of their hands: their memorial is the beauty which lives after them. / Also of Agnes Jekyll whose spirit ever dwelt in loving kindness".
