Description: John F. Shelley 1890 This photo was taken when he signed Homestead papers for Iona, ID. He worked for the Z.C.M.I. in Eagle Rock (later called Idaho Falls, ID) for some time before opening his own store in Iona. He opened the first store in what would become Shelley, ID. The town is named for him.
