Although this picture appears serious, a mock wedding with another student pretending to be the minister appears in a another picture in another volume of the Flashes yearbook, so there is some uncertainty. The date of April 30, 1918 appears below, but may or may not refer to this picture. Elsewhere in this yearbook it states that the school year had been broken up due to an enforced absence of 11 weeks [Spanish influenza].
