Description: The Park Place-Grand Avenue Residential District on the NRHP since September 12, 2002. The historic district starts at 4th at Park Place and Orleans St. and runs north up Grand Ave. to Rand Park in Keokuk, Iowa. Grand Avenue may provide the grandest spectacle in the Historic District running along the top of the Mississippi River bluff, looking down on the river, with Gilded Age mansions lining the avenue. Several mansions in the district are also listed separately on the NRHP. This fairly small house is Italianate (like many) is on the 800 block of Grand Ave.
